Year 2 Teacher - Full-Time Role at Two-Form Entry Primary School in Croydon

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced primary school teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity? A friendly and supportive two-form entry primary school in Croydon is seeking a passionate Year 2 Teacher to join their team and make a difference in the lives of their young learners.

Pay: £186.73 - £248.88 per day
Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in preparing students for their Key Stage 1 assessments while fostering a love for learning in an engaging and supportive classroom environment. Working collaboratively with the parallel Year 2 teacher, you'll share resources, ideas, and best practices to ensure excellence across the year group.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
  • Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Preparing students for their end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments with confidence.
  • Maintaining strong communication with parents and colleagues.
  • Contributing to the wider school community and participating in extracurricular activities as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment framework.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • A team player who values collaboration and shared success.
