HGV Class 1 Driver C+E

Location: Colchester, Essex
Pay: Starting at £612.33 per week (+ bonuses and additional benefits)
Hours: 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Driver Hire Colchester is recruiting a temp-to-perm HGV Class 1 Driver for a fantastic opportunity with a well-established Colchester-based company, renowned for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and family values.

As a Class 1 (C&E) Delivery Driver, you will:

• Deliver and offload goods to retail clients nationwide.
• Operate drawbar trailers and swap bodies (experience preferred but not essential).
• Perform timely and professional deliveries to high street stores and warehouses.

Flexibility for nights away is required, with up to four nights out occasionally. Full training will be provided.

• HGV Class 1 (C&E) License (essential).
• At least 1 year of delivery driving and manual handling experience (preferred).
• GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 34kg (with assistance).
• A methodical, enthusiastic, and committed approach to work.
• Flexibility to start between 5:30 AM and 8:00 AM.

• Starting pay of £612.33 per week, with opportunities to earn bonuses.
• Overtime after 50 hours at £16.33 per hour.
• Box bonus: £38 per box after 2 boxes (typically 2-4 boxes per shift).
• Night out pay: £10.66 taxable and £26.20 non-taxable per night.
• 5 meals per week provided: £13.75 taxable and £25 non-taxable.
• 30 days of holiday, including bank holidays.
