Production Manager

Elevation Recruitment Group is delighted to be working with a well-established manufacturing company in Sheffield to recruit a Production Manager with a focus on CNC machining and operational excellence.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this is an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced leader to oversee and develop a highly skilled team in a machining environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality output, driving efficiency, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities of the Production Manager include:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of machinists and operators
• Implement and champion lean manufacturing principles and process improvements tailored to machining operations
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators, ensuring production goals are met and exceeded
• Drive quality assurance and operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Promote a safe and collaborative work environment while addressing potential risks proactively

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Proven experience in production or operations management, ideally within a CNC machining or precision engineering environment
• A deep understanding of machining processes and techniques, including CNC programming and tooling
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams
• In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and a passion for continuous improvement
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and align teams towards shared goals
