Financial Controller

Your new company is a market leading manufacturer in Lancaster. This is a number 1 role, reporting in to the Managing Director.

Your new role
• Preparation and reporting of weekly/monthly management accounts with appropriate variance analysis and commentary to explain performance.
• Manage and lead existing finance team.
• Control income/expenditure within the business, ensuring that costs are in line with budget.
• Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Communicate and interpret financial data to non-financial managers.
• Maintain, develop, and implement financial policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Manage relationship with auditors.
• Management of relationships with external consultants regarding all tax obligations.

What you'll need to succeed
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Strong background in accounting and financial management, with good understanding of reporting procedures and record-keeping.
• Strong written, verbal communication and people skills – ability to manage and influence stakeholders and present financial information to non-financial colleagues.
• Line management experience.
• Proven experience within a similar senior level role.
• Advanced Excel skills.
