Site Financial Controller – Scunthorpe - £55,000 - £65,000

Chase & Holland are proud to be partnering this highly successful niche manufacturer in Scunthorpe who are seeking a dynamic, Qualified CIMA/ ACCA Financial Controller to be part of the Senior Management Team for the site and manage the finance function. They are within easy access of the M180 and will offer the right individual a great opportunity to join a passionate team and grow within the business. You will be responsible for the management of a small team, driving improvements in procedures and reporting as well as leading all financial activities across the site.

Reporting directly into the Group Financial Controller and Managing Director, responsibilities include:

• Preparation of monthly accounts, operational reporting and board pack, including detailed variance analysis
• Attending Operational Management Meetings to present and drive the numbers
• Cash flow reporting and monthly cash flow forecasting
• Driving and co-ordinating budget setting and rolling monthly forecasting
• Stock reporting, reconciliations and regular valuations
• Identify improvements in procedures, systems and reporting
• Cost and Margin analysis per customer/ product and tracking production job performance
• Overseeing the customer pricing reviews, ensuring margins are protected
• Productivity reporting, analysing and highlighting any discrepancies with the site management team to drive performance
• Review and develop the MI pack, including driving improved reporting
• Regular review of indirect costs to ensure increases are captured in the business model
• Fixed Asset Management, including depreciation calculations
• Managing and mentoring a small finance team
• Prepare annual accounts, audit file and statutory accounts reporting
• Point of contact for the external auditors and manage the annual audit process
• Assist the Operational Directors and Group Financial Controller with ad-hoc projects and reporting

Key Requirements and Preferences:

• Qualified CIMA or ACCA Accountant with strong technical skills
• Have experience of a similar position within a fast-paced manufacturing business
• Strong Excel skills
• Driven and self-motivated individual who is passionate to add value to a business
• Able to give financial knowledge to non-financial managers
• Continuous improvement mentality
