Scottish Power Renewables are looking for a Foundation T&I Package Manager to join their East Anglia One North project.

Position Title: Foundation Transport and Installation Package Manger
Business: Scottish Power Renewables - EA1N
Duration: 12 Month initial contract
Location: London or Glasgow/hybrid style working
Rate: Inside IR35, Umbrella and PAYE options available

Main Purpose of Job
The Package Manager shall be assigned to the EA1N project and shall take overall responsibility for the management the WTG Foundation Transport and Installation work package.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for developing the installation strategy for the project and for providing leadership and management of the package teams.
  • Responsible for the management and delivery of all activities that are required to ensure the sufficiency of the FT&I package.
  • Responsible for the management and delivery of all procurement and market engagement works relating to the FT&I packages.
  • Responsible for ensuring package teams compliance with company’s Quality, Environment, Health and Safety policies and applicable regulations.
  • Overall responsible for the management of selected FT&I Contractors.
  • Responsible for facilitating the sharing of lessons learnt from and to other projects of the business.
  • Responsible for management of handover process to the operation and maintenance team.


MAIN FUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES

Project Management

  • Overall responsibility for the package management of the FT&I packages for the project, this shall include:
  • Ensuring package teams compliance with Health and Safety policy and the safety goals of the project.
  • Preparation and implementation of a work package execution plans and management and coordination of all the internal and external resources required to deliver the work package execution plan.
  • Preparation and upkeep of CAPEX budgets .
  • Development and upkeep of package programmes, interface registers, risk and opportunities register, issuance of weekly and monthly package reports (as required)


Engineering

  • Overall responsibility for the management and delivery of all technical activities that are required to ensure the sufficiency of the IAC package technical solution, this shall include:
  • Management of engineering resources required to develop and implement a Package Engineering Plan(s).
  • Management of any internal and external services or resources that are required to complete the engineering.
  • Management of all activities that are required to ensure work package compliance with the project’s interface engineering requirements.

Procurement

  • Responsible for the management and delivery of all procurement and market engagement works (supported by the Contracts Management and Procurement teams) relating to the IAC packages, this shall include:
  • Lead in the definition of the scope of works.
  • Lead in the definition of the contracting strategy.
  • Management of the engineering and package resources required to complete the preparation of technical documentation that is required for inclusion within ITT and FT&I Contract documentation package(s).
  • Assessment of the technical compliance of the received bids and for providing technical recommendation into the Contractor selection process

Consents

  • Responsible for the identification and management of all activities and resources that are required to be completed by the work package to ensure compliance with the Employer’s Consents.
  • Responsible for supporting the Consents team in demonstrating compliance to key stakeholders / authorities.


Contract management

  • Responsible for the management of FT&I Contractor, this shall include:
  • Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental management of Contractors activities
  • Management of the delivery of the Contractors works in accordance with the programme.


Key Criteria

  • Degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience.
  • Significant and demonstrable expertise in managing offshore wind or subsea disciplines with a minimum of 5 years experience at a project management level or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of safely managing the execution of complex offshore works in hazardous marine environments.


Demonstrable experiences in:

  • engineering design.
  • production of specification and tender documents.
  • contracts (/subcontracts) negotiations (technical aspects).
  • construction planning.
  • budgetary estimations.


Working knowledge and understanding of:

  • UK and European Health and Safety legislation relevant to marine operations.
  • DNV and GOW standards for offshore wind.
  • Construction planning, Estimations & Risk Management.
  • Commercial awareness (incl. FIDIC contracts).
