Children’s Residential Registered Manager
Location: South East of England
Myn is recruiting on behalf of our long-term client. Lead, inspire, and make a difference in children’s lives.

The Role:
As a Registered Manager, you'll lead one of our Children’s Homes, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children and staff alike. You'll focus on delivering positive outcomes for children through innovative approaches while meeting regulatory standards.

What You’ll Do:

  • Champion safeguarding and deliver exceptional outcomes for children using creative and strengths-based methods.
  • Provide proactive, inclusive, and individualised leadership that fosters a positive team culture.
  • Build trust with children, staff, and stakeholders across residential services and care.
  • Use team supervision and career development conversations to support staff growth and improve performance.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Children’s Homes Regulations and the Ofsted inspection framework.
  • Take a collaborative approach to risk management and assessments, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all.

What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Ability to meet Ofsted requirements for becoming a Registered Manager.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care within the last 5 years.
  • Proven leadership and management experience in a social care or health setting.


Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of statutory childcare services and regulations.
  • Outstanding ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships in challenging situations.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach – no two days in this role are the same!
  • A passion for creating an inclusive environment where staff and children feel valued and supported.
