Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging, and effective English lessons at GCSE level, ensuring high levels of student achievement.
• Utilise innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance the learning experience and meet diverse learning needs.
• Regularly assess and review student progress and provide constructive feedback to foster development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and participate in departmental activities.
• Support students in their academic and personal development, guiding their career ambitions and helping them to realise their potential.
• Contribute to the creation of a supportive and inclusive educational environment that encourages student engagement and a sense of community.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in teaching English at GCSE level, with a track record of achieving positive student outcomes.
• Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of the strategies required to motivate and inspire students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise and connect with young people.
• A strong commitment to professional development and staying updated with the latest educational practices.
• Ability to foster a positive learning environment and encourage a culture of growth, purpose, and belonging among students.
