Day to day of the role:

• Plan and deliver compelling History lessons to secondary or post-16 students, instilling a deep understanding of historical events and their impact on the modern world.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning objectives.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles and fosters student engagement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share innovative teaching practices and contribute to the school’s extracurricular programmes.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to ensure the highest educational standards and practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
• Experience in teaching History is preferred, but newly qualified teachers (NQTs) are also welcome to apply.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and challenge students through effective teaching methods.
• Proficient classroom management skills and the ability to establish a nurturing learning atmosphere.
• A strong passion for History and dedication to continuous professional improvement.
