The Ideal Background: For this role, I'm specifically seeking candidates who either:

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain customer retention programmes, leveraging data analytics and behavioural insights to reduce churn and increase customer lifetime value
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Customer Delight, to identify growth opportunities and implement CRO and retention solutions
  • Optimise user acquisition funnels, onboarding processes, and retention strategies through technical innovations
  • Build and maintain internal tools to support the growth process, with a focus on CRO and retention analytics
  • Implement robust analytics and data pipelines to inform growth decisions, particularly for conversion and retention metrics
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in growth engineering, CRO, and customer retention strategies
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and skill development
Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years focused on growth engineering
  • Strong proficiency in React, NodeJS, and TypeScript
  • Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with modern frontend build pipelines and tools
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles and practices
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Strong background in data analysis and experimentation methodologies
  • Proficiency in analytics tools and languages (e.g., Google Analytics, SQL, Python)
  • Higher Education (Degree, HND or HNC) in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Must be UK-based with the right to work in the UK
About You:

  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a start-up environment
  • Data-driven with a growth mindset and a passion for experimentation
  • Effective problem-solver with excellent adaptability in a fast-moving environment
  • Logical thinker with a keen eye for detail and the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communicator with experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams
  • Professional, flexible, and well-organised
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
  • Proactive approach with strong ownership over your work
  • Passionate about innovation and improving customer experiences through technology and growth strategies
What Success Looks Like:

  • Autonomously delivering high-quality, scalable solutions that drive measurable business growth
  • Designing and executing successful growth experiments that lead to significant improvements in key metrics
  • Adapting quickly to new challenges in our fast-paced environment
  • Collaborating effectively with our passionate tech and marketing teams to innovate and improve our product and user experience
  • Continuously learning and applying new technologies and methodologies to enhance our growth strategies
  • Maintaining a strong focus on data-driven decision making and user-centric design in all aspects of growth engineering
Benefits:

  • 32 days paid annual leave
  • Competitive salary
  • Full-time remote working with occasional travel to the Shrewsbury area
  • Employee discount on products
  • Pension with NEST
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual who can demonstrate a track record of delivering measurable growth through technical innovation. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to shape the growth strategy of a rapidly scaling business, working alongside a passionate and talented team. If you're ready to take ownership of driving growth through innovative engineering solutions and thrive in a dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact the success of the company and its customers across the UK, I'd love to hear from you!
