RPG Programmer

We are working with a market leading insurance business based in Essex, they are on the lookout for an experienced RPG Programmer to join their small but experienced RPG team. You will be working on a variety of internal maintenance and new API projects for 3rd party suppliers, working alongside the BA & QA teams.

Responsibilities: As an RPG Programmer, you will…

• Develop and maintain RPG applications and databases on IBM I platforms
• Support & enhance legacy systems
• Integrate modern technologies with legacy systems
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and ensure application functionality

Requirements: As an RPG Programmer, you will need…

• Experience as a Senior Programmer, working within a Development team an QA’s
• Tech skills, RPG, DB2 and SQL
• Analytical skill, strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex requirements
• Project Management, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
