Key Responsibilities for the Salesforce CPQ Technical Consultant include:
- Lead requirements gathering workshops with clients to understand business needs and develop use cases.
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and perform build activities to deliver integrated solutions.
- Design, prototype, build, document, and support CPQ solutions, including configurations, customisations, and integrations.
- Manage technical design, delivery, and testing of integrations and custom extensions.
- Provide hands-on expert-level assistance to developers for technical issues.
- Create and manage Advance Approvals, automations, and detailed technical documentation for design specifications.
- Ensure code quality and maintain a high code coverage of the SFDC instance.
As the Salesforce CPQ Technical Consultant you should have the following:
- Proven background working on the Salesforce platform, with a strong focus on CPQ implementations.
- Highly knowledgeable around Salesforce CPQ or similar CPQ tools such as Apttus.
- Proven background with CPQ implementation, including configurations, customisations, and integrations.
- In-depth knowledge of CPQ objects and processes, such as Product setup, Product Options, Product configuration & rules, Pricing, Discounting, and Quote templates.
- Strong technical background in Salesforce technologies, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Component framework, JavaScript, SQL, SOAP, and REST Web Services.
- Familiarity with declarative programming tools such as Process Builder, Flow, and Workflow Rules.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience in building integrations with Salesforce.com using REST/SOAP APIs.
Experience in designing, coding, and implementing APEX code Triggers, Classes, and Components.
Experience with Configure, Price Quote, and Billing processes, including enhanced Price Catalog & price book, Advance approvals, Order management, Invoicing, Contracts, and Revenue reporting.
Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification or other relevant Salesforce certifications.
