Contract Energy Consultant (Offshore Wind)

As more and more investment is allocated towards greener forms of energy around the world, the demand for engineering professionals is boosted once more.

Our team is delivering recruitment solutions to offshore wind markets in the UK and across Europe. If you have experience within contract recruitment and want to join a growing, collaborative team with excellent career progression opportunities then this could be the role for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Win long-term new business opportunities, or projects of work and have a targeted business development strategy, with a tailored approach for each client.
  • Build a strong candidate & client referral network.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of your client companies (their business, industry, culture & environment) & use within your interactions to develop formal, long-term client agreements.
  • Develop client relationships through upselling and cross-selling across the business.
  • Engage with client stakeholders in different business areas & at different levels, proactively seeking out opportunity.
  • Engage in conversations outside of transactional recruitment.
  • Play a role in progressing clients up the value chain (to CDM, Enterprise or Solutions), working alongside internal colleagues.
  • Arrange & attend client meetings independently, knowing when to involve others.
  • Drive & recommend innovative candidate attraction strategies.
  • Advocate & encourage full use of the CRM.
  • Build technical/market knowledge & a relevant customer network
  • Analyse & make predictions based on trends in the talent market.
  • Engage in discussions around recruitment legislation and trend
  • Assist junior team members; advising on both your technical & recruitment expertise.
  • From time to time (as directed by your manager) support new consultants through at-desk coaching.
  • Play a key role in the delivery of team goals & objectives.

  • Working knowledge of a contract recruitment desk

  • Ability to build positive customer relationships

  • Able to lead by example through sharing of information and supporting both the team and manager to build a positive team spirit.
