I am currently working on behalf of a highly profitable, market-leading scale-up in the ecommerce space who are seeking a Head of Engineering to join their incredible team.

Working closely with the Co-Founder, you will help to shape the engineering function of the business and will be in charge of driving team output through process excellence, engineering practices, and pragmatic automation.

While this is a predominantly hands-off role, you will be expected to provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to maximise the team's effectiveness, so a strong software engineering background is essential for this position!

Core requirements:

• Strong hands-on Ruby on Rails background
• JavaScript experience
• AWS
• SQL Databases
• Experience working in a high growth startup/scaleup
• 5+ years of leadership experience

Desired experience:

• E-commerce exposure
• Performance optimisation at scale
• Knowledge of ML/AI
• Background in implementing DevOps practices and automation

Package:

£100,000 - £115,000 DOE

WFH 3 days a week (2 days in London)

? 38 days holiday
