An exciting opportunity for an Assistant VAT Manager to join a Professional Services Group based in Kent. You will be joining an expanding division within the group and be part of a developing team with a bias towards VAT compliance and advisory for a portfolio of clients.
Responsibilities of the Assistant VAT Manager Role:
- Drive the delivery of audit and compliance services on a day-to-day basis
- Manage client accounts and relationships
- Budgeting and monitoring compliance fees
- Ensuring procedures are followed taking account of institute and HMRC guidance, where relevant
- Ensure department billing and recovery targets are met
- On-the-job training/mentoring for junior staff & recruitment on a one-to-one basis, including technical and procedural matters
Requirements of the Assistant VAT Manager Role:
- Relevant VAT experience gained within professional services or industry
- Technically capable to be able to assist in complex client work
- Exemplary organisational and communication skills to liaise with clients, directors, staff, and other professionals
- Proven project management skills
- First-rate IT skills
- Evidence of managing a small client portfolio
