About the Role: As a Senior Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to raise the learning and attainment of children.
- Complement teachers’ delivery of our curriculum, ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.
- Promote pupils' independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion.
- Take on the responsibility of covering whole classes during PPA, leadership time, and short-term teacher absences.
- Provide small group teaching or 1:1 support to enable children to access the curriculum effectively.
- Use initiative to assess children's learning needs and offer effective feedback to inform teaching and provision.
- Support children individually or in groups, helping them experience success and love their learning.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is ambitious for all children to achieve and develop a love for learning.
- Holds GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
- Has HLTA status or a relevant qualification (though this is not essential for the right candidate).
- Can demonstrate a nurturing approach and work well as part of a team.
- Is ready to take on the challenge of working independently and using initiative in the classroom.
