We have an ambitious?Investment Strategy, which aims to demonstrate how by 2050 we can both grow and improve the condition of our estate of homes, ensuring all are of a standard fit for the future. We're looking for a Head of Development Lifecycle to join us, based from our Head office in Basingstoke.

The properties we develop now need to be at the best possible standard going forward to obviate the problems of performance and condition. We have developed our own standard to assess the quality of new and existing homes and neighbourhoods; The Homes and Place Standard. This has sustainability (physical, environmental, social, economic, aesthetic etc) and the health and well-being of our customers at its heart.  

The role:

We're seeking someone to lead on the establishment and ongoing management of the SNG “Gateways” (Development lifecycle process), ensuring good project management, effective handover of projects and good transparent governance at executive and non- executive level. This role ensures that development activities are conducted efficiently, align with industry best practices, and comply with regulatory standards.? 

The role will lead on business policy, process improvement and operational change programmes to identify the need for change and arrange for business cases to be created and to oversee the delivery of improvements in business efficiency.

What we're looking for:

  • Lean/Six Sigma/Process Management Qualifications.
  • Experience documenting, highlighting areas of strengths and weakness and continually improving the approaches to address compliance, financial regulations and legislative Homes England requirements.
  • A track record of taking projects from concept to delivery; creating teams to evolve the project and teams to manage the project once established.
  • A demonstrable record of partnership working, influencing and persuading.
  • Commitment to high ethical standards of integrity and honesty.
  • Strong experience in process improvement, and policy formulation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to development lifecycles (RIMA etc).
