This role has a starting salary of £52,942 per annum for 36 hours per week.
We are excited to be hiring a new Assistant Team Manager (Social Work qualified) to join our amazing and supportive team based at Epsom General Hospital. The role offers?hybrid working?however there is the expectation to be in the office for a minimum of 3 days a week. Our team covers the hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, and 8am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Typically, our Assistant Team Managers work from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.?

About the Team
We are a busy and diverse team managing hospital discharges across two acute hospital sites, Epsom General and St Helier.? We undertake Care Act assessments and support planning, which can include Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest decisions, often following the Discharge to Assess (D2A) pathway. The complexity of our work varies greatly, supporting all adults of the hospital who are Surrey residents with a need for care and support. We always strive to get people back home, through a strengths-based and person-centred approach, and support them to live their best lives.

About the Role
As one of two Assistant Team Managers, you will support the day-to-day running of a busy, dynamic team, effectively prioritising daily challenges and expectations. You will support the Team Manager to deliver high quality, personalised adult social care.?Additionally, a key accountability of the role is developing staff practice ensuring the team you work within is the best it can be. We understand the challenges of day-to-day frontline social work and have put tools in place to improve your work/life balance and make day-to-day tasks more manageable.?
