We have an ambitiousInvestment Strategy, which aims to demonstrate how by 2050 we can both grow and improve the condition of our estate of homes, ensuring all are of a standard fit for the future. We're looking for a Head of Development Delivery to join us. Based from our Head office in Basingstoke, this opportunity will primarily be focussed on developments in the Oxfordshire regions. There will be a blend of office, home and on-site working.
The role:
The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of all new development schemes in each region, across a range of different delivery routes, including greenfield, brownfield s106, joint ventures, regeneration opportunities and commercial buildings within the region aligned to the development gateways.
The role will work closely with the Development Delivery Director to execute and deliver the regional delivery strategies according to budget and to programme. You will be leading a team of development managers to drive financial performance, effective cashflow management and ensure that quality is delivered in line with SNG's homes and place standards.
What we're looking for:
- Relevant professional qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Track record of taking major projects from concept to delivery; creating teams to evolve the project and teams to manage the project once established.
- Experience achieving high customer satisfaction in new build homes
- Demonstrable record of partnership working, influencing and persuading.
- Experience of using learning from a range of roles within the housing or related sector.
- A track record of delivering mixed use, developments.
- Understanding of wider commercial markets.
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial practices relevant to delivering new developments.
- Financially literate and the ability to interpret development funding models.
- Track record of political and policy engagement
- Housing sector knowledge and insight or can demonstrate transferable skills from another related sector.
- Leadership behaviours aligned to SNG's values, fostering an environment of trust, transparency, inclusion, and employee wellbeing.
