Description
Responsibilities of a Accounts Receivable Clerk:
- Accurately processing and reconciling of incoming payments
- Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies
- Generating financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
- Maintaining and updating customer files, including name or address changes and account numbers
- Working closely with the team to achieve finance objectives
- Communicating with clients regarding billing discrepancies
- Engaging in continuous knowledge development regarding sector's rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards
- Sending out monthly statements
- Assisting with month-end closing
Profile
A successful Accounts Receivable Clerk should have:
- A strong understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong numerical skills
- Good organisational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
