This role offers the opportunity to gets hands on with the technology that our advisers use daily to meet their clients' needs.

You will be joining a small and friendly team of similarly skilled individuals that manage all the product changes into our core adviser facing and internal operational systems. This role will give you experience in technical system configuration, business analysis and solution design.

There will be opportunities to learn about the financial advice business, the opportunity to build system knowledge in industry leading applications and to develop skills in supplier and stakeholder management within this role.

As a Xplan Product Analyst you will provide subject matter expertise and support change delivery through system configuration aligned with our change backlog. You will also support the system by working on service tickets liaising with our suppliers to provide excellent customer service for the systems we support.

A core part of the role will be planning and analysis including:

  • Conducting business process and systems analysis and implement changes that align technology solutions with business objectives and the Quilter Technology Strategy and roadmaps.
  • Formulating and defining systems scope and objectives, based on end-user needs and an understanding of business systems, applications, and industry requirements.
  • Identifying, capturing, and developing requirements (functional and non-functional) providing documentation and business rules to support the requirements throughout the project life cycle and change control, prioritising requirements based on high-value achievable requirements.
  • Drives continuous improvement of business products and services by translating requirements into improved design and service provisioning.
You will also be responsible for project execution including:
  • Operating as a link between technical personnel and the appropriate end-user department to understand the business implications of the technical solutions on the current and future business environment.
  • Managing system incidents working with the project team to ensure resolution.
  • Working with the end-user to select or define appropriate scenarios to test and determine whether system changes meet project specifications. Coordinates with users to plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Creating, reviewing and delivering end-user documentation and preparing communication material on system enhancements.
  • Monitoring production performance enhancements and system integrity with end-users.
About You

To be successful in the role of Product Support Analyst, awareness of ITIL, Agile Practices and Business Analysis/Systems Analysis would be desirable (however not essential). You'll need some experience of working across the software development lifecycle within change implementation.

You'll have the ability or willingness to learn how to design and document business processes, stakeholder engagement capability with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical detail and the ability and experience assisting with planning activities.

You will also ideally have experience in configuring system settings, testing functionality and new releases as well as technical knowledge and some experience of at least one of the following:
  • Application and Data Integration Platforms
  • Knowledge of Xplan is highly desirable
  • Web Content Management
  • SQL Server Databases
  • Microsoft technologies
  • Financial services software e.g. Adviser POS Solutions
  • Capability to work in an Agile or DevOps environment.
  • Ability to work in 'Virtual' teams' cross function/cross business and geographies.
  • Knowledge of the IT delivery lifecycle, associated methodologies, and their practical application.
