Description
- Manage credit control procedures and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Monitor customer accounts for irregularities and delayed payments.
- Prepare regular reports on account statuses and escalate issues as necessary.
- Collaborate with the finance team to set credit limits, based on risk and credit analyses.
- Maintain accurate records of all credit transactions, including application processes and payment schedules.
- Resolve customer credit issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Support the finance department in its day-to-day operations.
- Stay current with industry trends and developments in credit management.
Profile
A successful Accounts Receivable Clerk should have:
- An academic background in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a credit control or similar role.
- Experience within the industrial / manufacturing industry is preferred but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of credit control procedures and principles.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service orientation.
- Proficiency in using financial software and databases.
