Carecall Officer

We are currently partnering with leading Housing Association in Stockport, who are recruiting for a Carecall Officer, to join their growing team on a temporary to permanent basis, with the initial role being 3 months.

This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of £17.00 - £19.00 per hour on an umbrella basis and the start date is asap.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Supporting a patch of 200 clients with answering calls in relation to issues within elderly resident homes
• Use a tailored script to indebtify how urgent a client needs support
• Visiting customers in their homes and helping install telecare systems (training will be provided)
• Devlivering a range of servcies such as welfare and emergency visits
• Keeping all recrods up to date by liaising with clients and families
• Helping clients live independently within their own homes

Experience required:

• Driving license essential, car desirable - There is a car on site for you to use
• DBS enhanced within 3 years or on update service
• The client is willing to consider candidate from a Customer Service, Support Worker, Independent Living background

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Flexible in your approach to your role, with a strong work ethic and always putting the needs of the customer first
• Approaches situations with a caring, empathetic manner, able to engage with people to build trust
• Adaptable to the varied tasks required to undertake the full duties of the role
• Highly organized with the ability to follow procedures with minimal supervision
• Ability to work effectively with a variety of people, including family members, social workers, and medical professionals, building good relationships with all team members over various shifts

Working hours:

• 35 hours per week
• 24/7 service - Rota is 06:00 - 16:00, 12:00 - 21:00 or 22:00 - 06:30
