Position: English Teacher

Qualifications:

• PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Responsibilities:

Teaching:

• Create lesson plans that meet the needs of students and the curriculum.
• Teach English language skills through discussions, debates, and other activities.

Assessing:

• Evaluate student progress through observation and grading.
• Set and mark tests, assignments, and homework, and provide feedback.

Mentoring:

• Support students as individuals and create a safe learning environment.

Communicating:

• Communicate classroom procedures and culture to students.
• Provide feedback to parents and guardians at parents' evenings.

Preparing:

• Prepare classrooms for lessons and teaching materials.

Managing:

• Instruct teaching assistants and manage their work.

Administering:

• Write and update records and reports.
• Attend staff meetings.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Teach grammar and writing skills.
• Encourage pupils to read and analyse literature, improving their critical thinking skills.
• Engage pupils and help them reach their potential through your passion for the subject.

Requirements:

1. Right to work in the UK.
2. Willing to undergo a DBS check or have a DBS on the update service.
3. Willing to complete compliance via Reed.
