Head of Finance – Property Sector

Location: Leicester, UK (Hybrid working) 
Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 + Benefits

The Role

As Head of Finance, you will lead and develop the finance team, taking full ownership of financial strategy, planning, and reporting to support the company’s growth plans.

Key responsibilities include:

• Strategic financial planning and forecasting.
• Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including payroll, VAT returns, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Producing accurate and timely management accounts and financial statements.
• Designing and implementing internal controls, financial policies, and audit processes.
• Developing performance measurements and driving efficiency across the business.
• Managing and mentoring a talented finance team.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a qualified finance professional (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with:

• Proven experience in a leadership role within finance.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
• Excellent technical knowledge, including Sage, Excel, and financial reporting systems.
• Experience in the property sector (highly desirable but not essential).
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
