Job Description:

Our client is revolutionising the way it plans and manages its end-to-end Supply Chain, working to improve lead times and offer increased flexibility to customers. Right at the heart of this are the Operations & Logistics teams, responsible for the execution of the core Supply Chain & Logistics processes and systems that ensure efficient, on-time delivery of parts to our plants right through to delivery of finished vehicles to our retailers and customers.

Working as a Senior Project Analyst within the Supply Chain Operations Development Team, you will be fundamental to the digital transformation, delivering products and services that drive competitive advantage and efficiency by reducing costs, improving delivery performance, creating value and driving profitable growth for the teams. You will lead on the end-to-end implementation of data analytics and digital tools within our client's Logistics Operations, using data to deliver business improvements and create value. Embracing technology-enabled change, you will need to draw on and develop your Supply Chain & Logistics domain knowledge and data and analytics expertise.

This role will give you significant exposure to the following areas of the business and the opportunity to work cross-functionally with Senior Stakeholders to deliver rapid change and efficiencies. Supply Chain Planning, New Product & Launch Planning, Transformation Office Digital Procurement Manufacturing, Finance Logistics Partners.


Skills Required:

  • Supply Chain / Logistics experience and knowledge.
  • Experience in using one or more of SQL, Python, Data Visualisation Platform (Tableau, Power BI etc.).
  • Hands on experience of completing complex data analysis to inform business decisions.

Skills Preferred:

  • Reduced cost resulting from the use of data and analytics tools.
  • Analytics skills and capability growth within the operations teams.
  • Key strategic project(s) delivered successfully and on-time.
  • Sustained existing tools and deployed projects.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Requirements gathering across the operations analysing pain points within existing processes and systems, identifying improvement opportunities and project scoping.
  • Project prioritisation and maintain catalogue of functional projects, ensuring they are prioritised for delivery based on latest data.
  • Build the roadmap for the Operations & Logistics digital transformation.
  • Identifying and developing talent within the function, drawing on your own technical expertise and experience.
  • Day-to-day project management running workshops with operational and technical stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions, working with digital team on delivery.
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time.
  • Supervise and provide mentorship to junior colleagues.

Experience Required:

  • Experience working as a Business Analyst / project engineer in the Supply Chain / Logistics Sector.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Systems such as ERP/MRP, Control Tower/Connected Supply Chain Systems.
  • Working knowledge and experience of Logistics Systems including MRP / ERP, warehouse management, data management and simulation.
  • Understand automotive or other supply chains and material flow principles.
  • Experience in use of lean and agile business improvement.
  • Able to conduct detailed business process mapping / analysis and identify improvement opportunities, supported by data.
  • Experience of working with complex databases and confident working with disparate data sources (structured and unstructured).
  • Track record of performing structured analysis of data and presenting outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong across the Office 365 technology stack (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to plan and prioritise varying workload and demands.
  • Educated to degree level (STEM subjects preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience Preferred:

  • Experience of Automotive Logistics / Manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with SAP data structures.
  • Previous experience of one or more cloud platform (Google Cloud Platform preferred).
  • Data exploration / visualisation with Tableau (preferred), Looker, Power BI etc.
  • Proficient in SQL and a programming language (Python preferred).
  • Awareness / experience of Agile Project Management techniques and tools (Atlassian toolkit: Jira, Confluence etc).

Additional Information:

Hybrid working: Minimum 2/3 days per week in office.
