As a Semi Senior, you will be responsible for preparing accounts and providing accounting support to a variety of clients, including limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing accounts from various client systems, such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks
• Preparing corporation tax computations
• Addressing queries raised by accounts and tax managers regarding accounts and working papers
• Finalising accounts following client meetings
• Acting as a point of contact for clients, addressing ad hoc queries
• Preparing management accounts and VAT returns
• Supervising, training, and mentoring junior staff members

• ACA, ACCA, or AAT qualification or be a finalist, or be qualified by experience
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience working in an accountancy practice (preferred)
• Strong technical knowledge and a good understanding of current legislation
• Experience preparing year-end accounts for owner-managed small to medium businesses, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Excellent training and mentoring skills
• Proficiency in accounting software packages such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks (preferred)
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A proactive approach, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and budgets

• £28,000 to £38,000 per annum
