Simon Acres Recruitment are recruiting for a luxury German kitchen retailer based in North London who are seeking a Technical Kitchen Designer.
Salary: £25,000 basic + 1% Studio Profit (£35,000 O.T.E).
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm. Saturday 10.00 - 5.00pm. Working approx. two Saturdays per month, sometimes one sometimes three - depending on how the weeks fall in the month, with a day off in the week.
They're looking to recruit a Technical Kitchen Designer to work with the studio design team.
Previous experience in the kitchen and design industry is a must. This role provides the individual with an excellent opportunity to progress at the appropriate time in the future.
The Role:
• Attending client briefing meetings to assist the Studio Manager/Senior Designer, taking full notes during the meeting.
• Liaising with Studio Manager/Senior Designer to discuss ideas on layout, functionality, and finishes.
• Following up with the client to book the presentation meeting date.
• Preparing project designs using Compusoft Winner.
• Creating technical drawings and 3D renders of the projects and collating A1 presentation documents.
• Preparing project quotations by sourcing costs for all third-party products - worktops, splashbacks, etc.
• Inputting all associated project costs including the kitchen furniture, which will be calculated via Compusoft Winner drawing.
• Attending project presentation meetings and organising deposit paperwork to be sent to the client.
• Post-sale processing, administration and migrating relevant documents.
• Preparing contract drawings.
• Sending the relevant documents to the client for contract signing.
• Preparing all relevant information for M&E drawings.
• Processing kitchen furniture orders to the factory.
• Checking furniture order confirmation with the Studio Manager/Senior Designer and Installation Manager.
• Preparing installation drawings.
Candidate Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the KBB industry.
• High-end, luxury or bespoke KBB experience.
• Experienced in using CAD software, ideally Compusoft Winner.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and hard-working.
• Ability to think fast, work well under pressure, and have excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate at all levels by phone, email, and in person.
• Confident, professional, and well-presented.
