Junior Technical Assistant, £25k to £30k, Northampton - Onsite

(Engineering and Technical Sales Support)

Avanti Recruitment is currently working with a growing technology business who manufacture incredibly specialist scientific equipment for use in industry, government and space sectors. You will be supporting the senior management team and directors of the company with the sales process of extremely high value (low volume) sales, to an exciting client base.

The suitable candidate is highly likely to be a Physics or Engineering Graduate, who is technically minded. The role may also suit an experienced physicist or engineer who would be interested in moving over to a technical sales support role.

You will get the opportunity to travel once a month to conferences all over the UK, and quarterly all over the world to events in Japan, US and India.

Responsibilities include;

• Assist senior management with complex sales enquiries, note taking, tracking actions
• Publishing technical marketing collateral and distributing accordingly
• Supporting with technical product updates via social media and press
• Representing the company at national and international conferences and exhibitions

Person specification;

• Physics or Engineering Graduate
• Experience in a manufacturing / technical engineering company would be useful but not essential
• Interest in highly bespoke and high value technical equipment
• Interest in space, technology, physics, astrophysics, engineering, specialist cameras

Benefits and opportunity;

Salary range from 25k to 30k, plus a great pension with a 7.5% employer contribution which is between double and triple the standard pension amount from an employer.
