Salary: £18,000 - £23,000 per year

The Role:
As a Trainee Accountant, you will gain hands-on experience in a supportive and professional environment while working towards your professional qualifications. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in finance and a desire to build a career in accountancy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Supporting the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts.
• Learning to use accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
• Assisting with basic bookkeeping tasks and data entry.
• Supporting the team with administrative duties and ad hoc tasks.
• Gaining exposure to personal and corporate tax processes.
• Attending training sessions and working towards an AAT qualification, with the potential to progress to ACCA or ACA.

Requirements:

• A minimum of GCSEs (grade 4/C or above) in Maths and English; A-Levels or equivalent are preferred but not essential.
• A genuine interest in finance and accounting.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• A team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail.
