IT Service Engineer

Job title: IT Service Engineer

Location: Norfolk/Suffolk (occasional travel to offices in the county)

Contract length: 12 month contract

Pay rate: £38,000 per annum

Role Summary

Working within the organisation's busy ICT End User Computing team supporting both Norfolk and Suffolk customers, you will be part of a dedicated team that travels across both counties to undertake the work required. You will primarily work on Estates projects, undertaking office moves and working on Estates relocation projects. You will resolve faults and fulfill requests on site, along with being actively involved with site audits.

It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:

• BTECH/HNC qualification in Information Technology/Computer Science or significant experience in an IT operational environment.
• Proven experience in working within a Microsoft Windows software environment
• Demonstrate highly effective communication skills in a customer focused environment
• Proven experience and ability to work as an effective team member with limited supervision due to the mobile nature of the role
• Proven experience and knowledge of maintaining ICT Asset Registers
• Ability to travel to multiple locations within Norfolk and Suffolk as required with a full driving licence to drive Force vehicles including category B, weighing up to 3,500kg.

It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:

• ITIL v3 Foundation Certificate
• Knowledge Network TCP/IP
• Exposure to IT security, system configuration and networking
