Due to the continued growth of our company, we are excited to offer a new position for a Contract Supervisor within our Infrastructure team.
Role Overview:
Reporting directly to the Contract Manager, the Contract Supervisor/Site Supervisor will play a crucial role in delivering arboriculture, landscaping, ecology, biodiversity, and minor civils projects for clients working on the National Highways Strategic Road Network (SRN). Your leadership will be key in ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards, while prioritising safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Contract Manager to survey sites and assess the scope of work.
- Assist in the planning and organisation of project tasks.
- Prepare and review safety-critical documentation, including WPP/RAMs, Task Briefs, and Toolbox Talks.
- Oversee and coordinate all site operations to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Provide guidance and support to delivery teams across multiple sites.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a skilled workforce.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and regulations on-site.
- Collaborate with contract managers, engineers, and clients to develop effective project solutions.
- Support procurement and maintenance of materials and equipment.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure projects meet quality standards and specifications.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Address site-related challenges proactively to maintain project progress.
- Ensure accurate and timely site reporting to the Contract Manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in construction site management, ideally within infrastructure or SRN projects.
- Knowledge of working on the Strategic Road Network (SRN) is essential.
- Strong understanding of construction safety guidelines and best practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
- Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills for managing complex projects.
- Familiarity with construction-related software and technology is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in construction management (CSCS, SMSTS/SSSTS).
- Rail competence (PTS) is beneficial, as occasional rail support may be required.
- TWC or TWS competence is advantageous.
