Position - Transition Tutor
Start date - ASAP
End date - Ongoing tutoring roles throughout the academic year

GBP20 - GBP30 per hour
Prospero Teaching are looking for a number of Tutors across Barnsley, to support students in their transition back into a new school place after being previously excluded. These students have sometimes been out of education for a while and need an empathetic and understanding tutor to assist making it a smooth transition back into a school setting. We receive Tutor referrals for students KS1-KS5 so there is the scope to work with students across all age ranges.
Ideally we are looking for Tutors who can commit to a few hours during the school day, but we can accept part time availability dependant on each students different requirements!
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Must hold QTS or Previous experience of working with students on 1:1 basis e.g. HLTA, Intervention Lead
· HLTA or equivalent qualification/experience would be ideal
· Proven track record of improving students performances.
· Team Teach Qualification would be highly desirable.
· Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided)
· DBS on update service.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
· Hold Right to Work in the UK.
· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
· Provide two professional references.
