Lead Software Engineer (eDV)

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer (eDV). This is your chance to join a global leader of UK defence and intelligence.

What You Can Expect

• Location - London (Hybrid - 3-4 days per week)
• Salary - £100,000 plus £5,000 clearance bonus & discretionary bonus
• Work type - Permanent

Main Responsibilities as a Lead Software Engineer (eDV)

• Lead and own team deliverables, collaborating with the scrum master to align with customer needs and project goals.
• Drive team success by taking ownership of deliverables and working closely with the scrum master to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing and deployment.
• Foster strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product, front-end development and qa to achieve project objectives.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, empowering them to reach their full potential.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer using Java and Springboot.
• Experience with React and NPM would be desirable.
• Experience in designing, developing and deploying scalable backend systems.
• Strong knowledge of CICD, containerisation, deployment technologies and cloud platforms.
• Candidates must have active eDV clearance.
