Human Capital Partners are working with a market leading finance company to recruit the Accounting Assistant. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for working as a junior Finance Business Partner partnering with colleagues in both finance and the wider company.
Candidates will be ACCA/CIMA or AAT part qualified or be Qualified by Experience. The successful candidate will have no less than 2 years’ experience gained in a finance role.
Experience gained in a Financial Services organisation is ideal but not essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly accruals, prepayments, revenue and expenses processes.
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts, including and related workings and reconciliations.
- Preparing the workings and backup for the posting of selected routine journal entries.
- Responsibility for the reconciliation of specific General Ledger accounts allocated to this role, including Suspense accounts.
- Assisting on a minimum bi-monthly rota basis with the Manual Payments process.
- Assisting with the preparation of delegated sections of the annual financial statements.
- Assisting with the preparation of information for responses to external audit requests.
- Assisting with the preparation of Regulatory and other periodic returns.
- Assisting with ad hoc accounting projects as required.
- Preparing and assisting with various periodic financial and management information reports.
- Assisting with the preparation of other ad hoc financial and management information reports.
- Assisting with the preparation of financial analyses.
