Reporting Accountant

About the Business

An opportunity to be a Reporting Accountant for a service business based in Birmingham. The company is a leader in their industry, which operates in over 50 countries across the globe. They seek to double their revenue in the new year.

Main Duties:

As a Reporting Accountant, your main duties include:

• Being a key player in the production of monthly reporting and year end accounts form a sub £100m division
• Ensuring journals and balance sheet reconciliations are appropriately reviewed and posted within the month-end closing timetable.
• Evaluating, developing, improving, and maintaining appropriate control framework for accurate financial reporting
• Being the primary contact for external and internal audits
• Analysing financial data and creating relevant reports for management, stakeholders and external parties (such as vendors or customers).
• Forecasting, monitoring, and managing the company’s free-cash-flow and working capital position
• Collating and preparing applicable tax returns and filings

Location / Office / Culture

The role is based in Birmingham City Centre, and offers a hybrid working model with three days in the office and two at home. The company operates from a modern office with a strong Finance Team.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• An ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent qualification
• Up-to-date knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
• Resilience and openness to change
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
