Interim Financial Accountant

Are you a skilled financial professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a passion for driving financial accuracy? We are looking for an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to join a dynamic team in Dundee for a temporary role that will play a key part in supporting financial operations during a busy period of change.

Location: Dundee, Scotland
Contract Type: Interim (3 months initially)
Salary: Upto £55k DOE

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
• Support with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Liaise with external auditors and assist with audits as required.
• Identify opportunities for improving financial controls and processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate VAT returns and other statutory reporting.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or part-qualified with significant experience.
• Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting, ideally in a similar interim or temporary role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
