Teaching Assistant

• Salary: £100- £110 per day
• Location: Folkestone

Join, an alternative education provider in Folkestone and Hythe District, as a Teaching Assistant.

This role is crucial in supporting pupils in Key stage 3 and Key stage 4 who have a range of behavioural and learning needs. We are dedicated to providing more than just academic support, aiming to deliver a comprehensive education to help our pupils fulfil their potential.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Support pupils in the classroom to aid their academic progress.
• Conduct intervention work in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
• Work closely with pupils who have various behavioural and learning challenges.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team to provide a supportive and effective learning environment.
• Engage in activities that support the emotional and social development of the pupils.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A good standard of education, minimum GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or equivalent.
• High level of emotional intelligence and resilience.
• Proven experience in behaviour management.
• Experience working with challenging or vulnerable young people is highly desirable.
• Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children.
