Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with a growing organisation based in Wallingford (South Oxfordshire) to recruit a Divisional Finance Manager. The Divisional Finance Manager will receive a salary of up to £70,000 plus a bonus and hybrid remote working! 1-2 days a week in the office.

This organisation has multiple entities, and it would best suit an individual who has worked part of a structure similar to this.

Primary responsibilities;

  1. Line manage members of the Management Accountant team. Guiding, leading and developing direct reports with an emphasis on mentoring and strengthening the team.
  1. Produce timely and reliable monthly management accounts to tight deadlines.
  2. Identify and investigate variances against benchmarks, provide analysis of differences, and explore potential problems with non-financial department heads.
  3. Take the lead on various projects, including process and system improvements.
  4. Update Excel-based reconciliation / support packs for all Balance Sheet accounts.
  1. Support and challenge the business heads with the Group's Quarterly Strategic Review process (forecasting).
  1. Prepare periodic financial statements and supporting schedules, tax computations and cash flow forecasts.
  2. Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers, advise on the business impact and make appropriate recommendations.
  3. Involvement in on-going process development and transformation projects to improve business efficiency and profitability.
  4. Developing a continuous improvement framework to ensure efficiencies are rolled out and adopted by all team members and the wider organization where appropriate.
  5. Act as a Business Partner within all aspects of the role.

Key experience and attributes;

  1. CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification.
  2. People Management Experience
  3. Strong commercial acumen and financial analysis skills.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Strong excel skills are necessary as well as experience of Microsoft Office programs.
  6. Experience of working in an international business is advantageous.
  7. Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is preferable.
  8. Experience in software or high-tech industry would be an asset.
  9. Experience of working in a fast paced, change culture.
