I am supporting a client whose organisation is known for high-quality products and exceptional customer service, with their search for a Deputy Managing Director to drive operational excellence and support business growth. This exciting new role offers a pathway to a potential Managing Director position, making it ideal for an ambitious professional ready to lead and expand a dynamic team. Ideally you will have a minimum of 5 years in operational leadership, preferably in a manufacturing or product-driven business. This role is office based in Rochester, reports to the Group Managing Director and offers a profit-based bonus. 

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and timeliness in production, inventory management, and logistics.

  • Information Technology Management: Utilise technology to enhance operational processes, ensuring CRM systems and stock control processes are optimised and continuously developed.

  • Team Development: Foster a positive culture, support professional growth, and build strong cross-functional relationships.

  • Strategic Growth: Work with the leadership team to identify opportunities, streamline processes, and implement best practices to scale the business.

  • CRM & Stock Control: Manage and enhance CRM systems and stock control processes to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency.

  • Customer Focus: Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high satisfaction and continuous service improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in operational leadership, preferably in a manufacturing or product-driven business.

  • Career Aspirations: Aimed at stepping into a Managing Director role with a focus on building and driving operational success.

  • IT Proficiency: Strong knowledge of IT systems, especially CRM platforms and stock control software.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to inspire teams, develop talent, and lead by example.
