Primary School Site Supervisor
Job Type: Full-time (Temporary to Permanent for the right candidate)
Location: Salford, M27
Working Hours: Split shift, 7:00-10:00 AM and 13:45-18:00 PM, Monday to Friday (36 hours per week)
Start Date: 06/01/2024
We are seeking a dedicated Primary School Site Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the security, safety, and maintenance of the school premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff, pupils, and visitors.
Day to day of the role:
- Opening and closing the school premises, including setting and disarming security systems.
- Conducting regular security checks and maintaining a log of any incidents or breaches.
- Overseeing the cleaning team to ensure the school is well-maintained and presentable.
- Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks, and liaising with contractors for more significant repairs.
- Ensuring that health and safety regulations are adhered to throughout the school.
- Managing the maintenance of school grounds, including gardening and litter control.
- Setting up facilities for school events and meetings as required.
- Responding to emergency situations promptly and following emergency procedures.
- Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a supervisory role, preferably within a school or similar environment.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Basic DIY skills for minor repair work.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a responsible attitude towards the security and maintenance of the school premises.
- Enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
