Location: Plaistow

About The Pupil
We are looking for a tutor to support an 11-year-old boy, to support his learning and development. He has a diagnosis of Autism and experiences communication difficulties, along with learning difficulties. He is a cheerful boy, with a wide range of interests, including music, swimming and maths. He also really enjoys karate and traveling to explore new areas. He is an intelligent young person who is able to understand new concepts quickly. We would love to find someone who can incorporate some of his interests into his learning to make it more engaging.
An ideal tutor would possess prior experience in assisting children with regulating their emotions and managing their feelings. Another key goal would be to help him become more aware of his safety. Our pupil has found it difficult to understand social situations at times, so a tutor who is able to develop his social awareness and understanding would be essential. A tutor who is able to provide a consistent and familiar routine would be crucial, as our pupil has responded well to this in the past.
If you think this is not the right role for you, do still apply as we are always on the lookout for people with different expertise to work with our pupils in various locations.
