We are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEMH Mentor to support our students’ emotional and behavioural development, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging lessons to small groups of students with SEMH needs.
- Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and document student progress and behaviour.
- Engage with parents and caregivers to support student development.
- Participate in professional development and training sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or SEMH support (preferred).
