Head of Purchasing

Cambridge - Head of Purchasing - £80k-£90k - Wireless Technology

Platform Recruitment has partnered with a leading provider of electronic, wireless communications solutions. They are looking to recruit a Head of Purchasing to join their team. You will be responsible for leading a team of Purchasing professionals and have responsibility for defining and executing a global supply chain strategy that delivers maximum value for the business and its customers.

Main Duties:

+ Developing procurement strategies aligned with business objectives

+ Selecting vendors based on quality, reliability, and pricing

+ Analysomg spending patterns and identify areas for cost reduction

+ Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations

+ Assessing and mitigate supply chain risks

Requirements:

+ Extensive supply chain experience within the electronics manufacturing industry

+ Experience in team management

+ Experience in contract negotiation

+ Experience developing procurement strategies

+ Experience solving problems with suppliers

Salary/Location:

+ The salary range for this position is £80k-£90k

+ The role is based in North Cambridge, 5 days per week, with flexible start and finish times on offer
