About the Role:

Colmore Education is seeking a passionate and qualified Geography Teacher (QTS) to join a dynamic mainstream secondary school in Stafford. This role involves teaching Geography to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, inspiring a love for the subject and fostering academic success. This exciting opportunity starts in January 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students in KS3 and KS4, ensuring lessons are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with the national curriculum.

• Plan and prepare effective lesson materials, catering to a range of learning styles and abilities.

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.

• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for Geography.

• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum.

• Participate in departmental and school-wide activities, including parents’ evenings and extracurricular events.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong background in teaching Geography.

• Proven experience teaching KS3 and KS4 in a secondary school setting.

• Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to make Geography accessible and engaging for all students.

• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.

• A commitment to professional development and maintaining high teaching standards.

• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
