Our client, a prominent company in the power utilities and distribution sector, is seeking an experienced HV Estimator to join their expanding team located outside of crewe. This permanent role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the design, installation, and maintenance of networks for a diverse range of clients.
Key Responsibilities: - Prepare tenders and quotations from specifications and drawings within set timeframes.
- Develop tenders and quotations based on DNO Point of Connection offers within defined deadlines.
- Conduct site assessments to identify risks and potential issues.
- Produce formal handover documentation for approved projects.
- Attend handover meetings to explain project scope, estimates, clarifications, and assumptions.
- Complete all required company procedure documents and financial records.
- Review and report on projects with the Business Development Manager.
- Review documents and participate in contract meetings with clients and contractors.
Job Requirements: - Comprehensive understanding of DNOs, IDNOs, and ICPs.
- Proven experience in delivering technical solutions and costings for electrical and civil projects up to 33kV on private or regulated DNO/IDNO networks.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent attention to detail and quality.
- Outstanding teamwork, financial, and organisational skills.
- Confident in presenting to senior managers and directors.
- High level of computer literacy.
- General knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and their practical implications.
- Self-motivated while able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Customer-focused and driven to achieve success.
- Proficient in mentoring and developing others
