Our client based in the Portsmouth area is a company who specialise in engineering innovation in the Marine sector. They are looking to recruit a seasoned Senior Electrical Design Engineer with a passion for pioneering marine electrical solutions.
Responsibilities will include
- Design and implementation of large marine electrical installations, focusing on the company innovative product.
- Work with vessel manufacturers to provide installation guidance and vessel specific system variants.
- Work with ATEX rated installations to ensure compliance and safety in hazardous environments.
- Utilize professional drawing package EPlan.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to integrate electrical systems into our cutting-edge marine technology solutions.
- Provide guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring technical excellence throughout.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience in marine or industrial control electrical installations, demonstrating a competence with electrical installations and panel design.
- understanding of the complexities and challenges in the marine sector.
- Experience in ATEX/IEC Ex rated installations is desired.
- Proficiency with professional electrical drawing package EPlan is desired. Training can be given if required.
- A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to a diverse team.
