Category Manager needed  Paying £450 per day Ref 440586

Full time hrs on a temporary basis

• Lead procurement and contract management activities to ensure effective and consistent services, representing value for money.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage key procurement and contract activities related to Infrastructure.

  • Work closely with Commissioners, Service Leads, and Category Team members.

  • Ensure purchased products and services represent value for money.

  • Build relationships with suppliers, communities, and partners.

  • Support the development of a category strategy for Professional Services.

  • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and legislative requirements.

  • Provide professional advice on procurement and contract management.

  • Deliver continuous service improvement and adopt best practices.

  • Line manage Category Officers and Assistants.

  • Ideally MCIPS or equivalent
