Credit Controller

Reed Accountancy is delighted to work exclusively with our client based in Chelmsford, who is looking for a Credit Controller to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an office based role.

Job title - Credit Controller

Salary - Up to £33k dependant on experience

Reporting to - Credit Control Manager

Location - Office based, Chelmsford

Hours 8.30am – 5pm

Holidays - 23 days + bank holidays

Responsibility of the credit controller:

• Responsible for approximately 700 accounts for several branches
• Chase customers for payment by phone, email, and messaging
• Issuing final demands and requesting legal action where appropriate
• Liaise with branch personnel regarding overdue payments
• Credit check and process new account application forms using creditsafe
• Secure Nexus Cifs credit insurance, liaise with underwriter when required
• Cash postings and credit card transaction processing
• Carry out reviews of accounts ensuring that all information is up to date
• Provide high customer service, helping all customers across the full ledgers.

Candidate profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in credit control
• Confident on the phone
• Working closely with customers and the internal sales team, building strong working relationships
