Senior Accountant

Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established and highly reputable firm of chartered accountants that are now eager to appoint a skilled and experienced Senior Accountant.

Role Requirements -

• Preparing Company Accounts/ Company Tax Returns for a diverse portfolio of clients
• Preparing Self-Assessment Tax Returns
• Reviewing and submitting VAT Returns (prepared by a more junior staff member)
• Reviewing and submitting Self Employed Accounts, Rental Accounts, Tax Returns (prepared by a more junior staff member)
• Reviewing bookkeeping prepared by outsourcers and acting as a link between the outsourcers and the relevant clients
• Managing the workflow for the tax return portfolio (400 tax returns)
• Assisting with tasks such as VAT Registrations
• Liaising with Clients to resolve queries
• Always HMRC related issues needing to be resolved with HMRC

Person Requirements -

• ACA or ACCA qualified or late-stage studiers with at least 3+ years in a similar Semi-Senior/ Senior Accountant capacity
• Solid practical understanding of supporting a diverse client portfolio
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• An eye for detail to ensure accuracy of work
• Ability to work under pressure and to multitask
